    We are using win xp sp3:

    When running in safe mode it is stuck in 640 x 480 and some programs go off the edge of the screen. How to fix it?

    not available in safe mode. the video driver isn't loaded. it's really only to fix major problems.

    aedipuss: Thanks for your quick reply. We have another computer with win xp using the same monitor and it will run in safe mode 1024 x 768.

    lol, i've used this nym for at least 10 years and no one has every asked that. it was a unique nickname i made up as a play on the spelling of Oedipus - it's supposed to look like this - Ędipuss - but the input form here doesn't allow the special character required.
