    what are the best programs to use to encode my .avi to dvd?

    i have seen a few guides and for some reason their not working because when i play dvd convert .avi to dvd file on
    my standalone player they seem to be skippy and have some type of squares that appear through the hole movie..

    plz help me..

    I like FAVC, but DVD Flick is also good. Both are free. ConvertXtoDVD is the best of the one-click-wonder commercial tools. Stay away form crap like Imtoo or WinAVI.
