pan and zoom in vegas 8

using jpegs, pan and zoom in vegas 8, i notice there is always a pause before it goes to next jpeg... even though the jpegs are set to 3 seconds and are crossfaded into each other, its not "smooth" into the next slide/jpeg, there is always this hestitation / pause before it goes to next jpeg.. why is it doing this? if i use video, no problems, the blend is nice and smooth.

Is this just in the preview, or after rendering ?

Can you post a screenshot of the timeline ?

looks like for the most part only on preview .... when I render to mpg2 (dvd arcitect template), pretty much all of the 20 sec clip I rendered is fine, nice and smooth.
check the screenshot.. do the blends/fades need to be certain length to work right? do the jpegs themselves have to be a certain length??

If it renders OK, but the preview stutters it could be that your system simply isn't fast enough to support the previews in real-time. I certainly haven't noticed similar issues with Vegas 6 or 7 (both of which I use regularly for slideshows).
