Hello, everyone, thanks for reading this, i have a movie in 1080p MKV kind, and when i played in VLC it freezes the video for a while but not the audio and then resume corectly, i also try to played in media player classic and the video does not freeze but loose syn with the audio, i hae a lot of movies in this format and they play well, is there any way to solve this issue, anyone have ideas?, thanks in advance.

    Your "Computer Details" says you have a Mac. You should have mentioned that in your post.

    I can tell you that if you have an iMac that it has big problems with 1080p video. There is a "feature" of the iMac only where it actually tries to resize 1080p video to the exact resolution the monitor, which is a little larger than 1920x1080. This resizing is built into the OS and is particular to iMacs. As far as I know it has never been fixed because Apple does not consider it to be a problem. The constant pointless resizing is too much for the CPU and 1080p video won't play correctly.

    It's possible that your movies that play well are not 1080p. Anything in 720p format will play fine because the iMac will not try to resize it. Nobody knows why it insists on resizing 1080p video, but it's a bug in the OS and it's up to Apple to care enough to fix it.

  3. Hello, thanks for youe answer, i do have a mac, but this problem i am having is in in my PC, its a core 2 quad 2.4ghz, 4GB RAM, geForce 8600 GT, thanks again.
