I have a home theater pc setup in one room in my house, and an old analog tv with a converter box in another room. Both recieve signal from the same source; roof antenna. The HTPC using a haupaugge wintv 1800 and Vista media center 64 bit only gets 2 channels. The analog tv with converter box gets 15 channels some from cities miles and miles away. So, what is wrong? Is it a VMC problem and I should get other software - if so what? Is it the TV tuner card that is weak? (this would be dissapointing) Or something unseen? Please help.

I would lug the TV and converter box to the PC location and connect it to the antenna lead to see what's what.

I hear the Hauppauge boxes require a stronger signal than most cable boxes and TVs. Try an antenna signal booster.
