I have a problem I have two computers both have the same codecs on them. on one I have ripped music vids off dvds and encoded to divx avi with no problem. I want to do the same on the other cause its a faster machine. the problem I got is after I encode I can't view the avi nor will virtualdub recognize what it is. I tryed to use divfix and it says that it is not an avi. the same machine will play anyother divx file, but not the ones that I encode on it.

method of encode, don't laugh its the easyest for me. I open vob with dvd2avi and save to avi (tryed various codecs). with virtual dub I open the avi and encode puting both the vid and audio together. I can do this with the slower machine and it plays fine on it. again both machine have just about every known codec on them.
