    Hi.
    I have this problem.
In Nero Vision when converting movie with burning i cant change the speed, yes there is a option to change the speed of burning but it don't work, it always burn at max speed, and my DVDs is 16X and when I burn at 16x at the end it gives me a error.
So is there a software or something to change the maximum speed of my burner permanently or something like that?
    I have Pioneer DVR 212D.

    Thank

Unfortunately I have a similar issue with Nero in that EVERY time I burn from NeroVision I get a coaster

What I've changed to is setting Vision up to create the DVD structure on the HD and then use the Video Burning setup (or IMGBURN) to actually burn the DVD. Since changing to this I've not had a coaster although it takes longer.

To answer your specific question I can't find an option to change burn speed in Vision and I doubt you can tweak your drive to think it's slower - you could (I suppose) try burning to slower rated media and see if that works

Don't burn with Nero. Do what IKnowNothing suggests and write the structure to your hard disk and then burn with ImgBurn. Yes, Nero is infamous for this where you can only burn at the maximum speed, which may not be very good for you.

    OK.
    Thank for the help.
I will switch to my previous 8X DVDs, they never give me an error.

Vision gets info about speed from registry. So first check out, if in Nero Burning Rom your DVD write speed is set to max. You can change that very easy. drive options.

Nero and ImgBurn: they are twins (intern - so what you can do with ImgBurn, you can do it with Nero... But ImgBurn has everything in one Window. Thatīs easier for most people - who donīt know how Nero is handling the options, and who are not able to find it out.

So use ImgBurn for Burning: itīs a nice interface
