    I have a PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-104 player in my G4 Mac and want to make it region free (region 0) if possible. How can I do this, and can I make it permanent rather than having to switch back and forth and eventually be stuck on one region?

    Don't forget, if you plan on using Apple's DVD Player, to add RegionX.
    I use it in my Dual G4 to keep it set to Region free.
    If you only use VLC, then you won't need it, after you do
    what Lawnman says...

    the OP was listed as having Panther 3.9 on his system specs,
    so I made mention of it. Leopard compatibility for Region X is probably
    moot at this point, as development for it stopped around 10.3.5.
    I'm still amazed it works under Tiger.....
