  1. I need to merge 2 AVI that someone created from a single CAM movie. Want to add some saturation and pump up the black levels because of prevail's crappy encoding the video suffers. Then or at the same time convert to a DVD main movie.

Can anyone recommend software, procedures and settings to use?

I want to try to get the best quality DVD I can from what I have. I know that it will not be great but any improvement will do. DVD5 or DVD9 whatever is best.

    Thank you, Joey

  3. I would use AviSynth:

    AviSource("video1.avi")+AviSource("video2.avi")

Then use it's Levels(), ColorYUV(), RGBAdjust(), etc. to adjust colors and black level, and finally, LanczosResize() and AddBorders() to scale for DVD.

Keep in mind that the colors you see on the computer are very different than what you will see on a TV after burning to DVD.

VirtualDub has an an append option that should work to join the files. Be sure to use a recent release that supports VBR audio better. You can also do all your other adjustments with it.
