DVD player: Philips 5960 (FW: DVP5960_12_vboroda_1250_v8.3_pb.zip -- Porkupan Codepage 1250 with Packed Bitstream support)
    TV: LG 32LG3000
    ---
First I used the VideoOut port to connect the devices, but then I bought an HDMI cable. Since then I have the following problem(?). After turning on the player and set the TV to HDMI1 input source the TV says "No signal" for several seconds, but the player is "loading". I also cannot use the HDMI-CEC functions.
Do you have any ideas to solve these problems? Help please...

  2. I suspect the modded firmware you are using broke the HDMI output. Try reverting to the stock firmware.

    Hi!

I loaded back the original firmware, unplugged the device for some minutes and reset the factory defaults in the menu.
    Nothing happened.
    Any other idea?

    Update:
    HDMI ver. of TV: 1.3
    HDMI ver. of DVD: 1.0
    Can it be the problem?

  5. HDMI version shouldn't matter. I seem to recall the HDMI port isn't enabled by default. You may need to enable it via the setup options. Which will require you use one of the other outputs so you can see what your doing.

Sorry, I'm pretty looser in this, could you please explain me how to do that?
(The cable is also HDMI 1.0 or 1.1... don't know)

  7. I just checked my DVP 5960. Sorry, there isn't any specific "enable HDMI" in the setup. The player should detect the HDMI connection automatically.

I don't know what your problem might be. Have you tried hooking up with one of the analog outputs just to verify the player is working?

    I didn't say, my player doesn't work... I said, it's slow
TV says "No signal" for several seconds
    I'm gonna try with a HDMI1.3 cable...
Anyway... thanks a lot for the help!

  9. I thought you meant it said "no signal" and then didn't work. The no-signal delay is probably where the DVD player and the TV are performing the HDCP handshake. This is common with HDMI/HDCP devices. Blame Intel and Hollywood.
