    Hello,

I'm sorry if this is not the right section for this kind of problems.
I downloaded two .mkv files in order to see them in my BluRay player (LG BD550) via Usb HDD. Both files already have subtitles incorporated (english subtitles) and I can see them with any kind of problems. Now, the idea is to add aditional subtitles to the films. After googling a little bit, I read that mkvmerge GUI allows to add aditional srt files to the container. I downloaded the program, add the desired srt files, but then the movies don't start in my bluray player... I press play and nothing happens...
It's obvious that the problem is in the muxing process, because the initial files work and then they stop working.. Does anybody know what's the problem here? Is there any change in the video track that makes the mkv stop working? Thanks in advance.

  2. disable header compression or use an older version of mkvtoolnix (4.0 or older)

Yep, you can select it manually for each track or under File->Options choose Disable header removal compression for audio and a video tracks default and will always be disabled.
