First thing - you can't just change the language of a DVD. If the language you want isn't there, it isn't there. You may be able to find subtitles or audio tracks elsewhere in the language you want, and with a bit of work you should be able to insert them into an existing DVD structure. There are guides for doing this in the guides section or user guides forum.

On the otherhand, if you have a disc that already has the languages you want on it, and you just to make them the default, you can do his with DVD Shrink or DVD Remake Pro or PGCEdit, depending on how experienced you are and how neat you want to be.

So which one are you trying to do ?

  4. Just which DVD is this? The NGEs I've seen have both Japanese and English in them. Although English is the default, it's easy enough to make the Japanese play using either the language menu or the remote control (or make it play by default using PGCEdit).

Yes, the languages are in the VOBs.

Bit of a gap there between the OP with NGE and the second question if those dates are correct

  6. Hehe, right you are. Not only did I not notice the 6+ year time difference between the posts, I didn't even notice that the first 2 posters were different people. Having read only the posts I was thinking the 2nd post was to bump the first after a day or so. I got a nice chuckle out of my mistake, as I guess you did as well.
