I'm gonna try out the trial version tonight but I was wondering if anybody here has had any success with it?

Your miserable life is not worth the reversal of a Custer decision.

	Hi Sillyname,

I've not tried it, but I've had a read having come across your post - very interesting. Especially as I have an XM2 (PAL version of NTSC XL2).

Please post back with your findings...There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

 Carpe diem.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.

I've ben there before. But I think that in order for this to work,
your cam has to be able to shoot in 24p or 30p but *NOT* 29.970 fps Interlace.

To my understanding, there is no such thing as a 29.970 fps pure interlace
source (NTSC dv cams) that can be transfered to Film speed (23.976 fps) and
with fluid motion. Will be too much jerks/studders. I know, cause I've
taken my dv source and converted (29.970 fps to 23.976 fps) and in many
variations, but still jerks. Reason ?? Simply being.., because fields have
 to be thrown away.
 .
Still though. It would be nice if it could be done for our cheap dv cams
that only output 29.970 fps frames

Those are for 24p or 30p (If I'm not mistaken)

Oh ..I forgot to mention that on one of my older cams that I bought for ..I forgot to mention that on one of my older cams that I bought for
 $180 used.
 .
I can shoot video w/ almost smooth 30P frames. But I'm pretty sure
that this technique/software might not do what its suppose to with my source.

It works with Windows and MAC's.

Has anyone used it on 30P videos ??

I'd be curious to know how fluid it was

Ok. Now I remember this tool - (oh, the headackes)

I could never get it to work. Would always crash on me whenver I would
feed it an mpg; m2v; dv avi (type 1 and type 2) files.

No source would completely work under this tool. Even when I was able to
open any given source (mpeg-2; dv .. typ1 and type2) the closest I got with
it was when it would open a video window and pop up a box for the settings
(see my first pic above) and then when I clicked on Start, it would crash out,
or sometimes create a few files (ie, .mov; mp2) ..and, it's still doing it in
 this latest version !!
