    Question:
How would I get just / only the audio from a U Tube file and convert it to a *.wave file?

There is a U Tube file with only one photo that is static (No video, just one photo that stays there for the entire performance). How do I get just that one static image and put it onto a *jpeg file?

    Thanks, partner

You could use http://media-convert.com and convert it to wav.

You could use VLC player and take a screen capture of the image.

Well, if you've got the FLV file from YouTube, you can also use FLV Extract to get an MP3 from the FLV, then convert that to a .WAV. FLV Extract can also create an AVI (no audio) video stream from the FLV, though you can always just take a screenshot from the video as jetsman mentioned. Most players should probably have a screenshot option.

    Hello Sir Baldrick,
Thank you. I did as you advized to get the UTube audio and convert it to a wave file. Apparantly this aspect of the software no longer functions. Is their another software I may use/download in order to capture the audio of UTube and convert it to a *.wave file? Find below the error message I get........

YouTube direct download service is no more available. Sorry for this inconvenience !

    Thanks

I did this recently for my wife and daughters, who were gaga over a certain AmIdol. Pulled the "Hi Quality" fan streams from YouTube (using KeepVid), which are MP4. Opened in QTPro and extracted the M4A (to avoid BW, HDsize, or sync issues), and then used QTPro again to save an uncompressed WAV. Dropped into EAC and burned some discs. Now they're happy--so I'm happy.

    (Didn't take too long either)

    This is confusing.
I downloaded the FLV software. I don't see any icon for it on my desktop, it is not in Programs and I cannot find it in Add or Remove programs. Where is it? How do I turn the program on and off?

Is there any other freeware that will get the audio from a UTube file?

    Thanks
