Hey Everyone.
I have a PC and I'm trying to find a software that makes it easy to setup a DVD to autoplay when you stick it in the DVD Player.
Right now, I'm using Nero 8 trial version and I can't seem to find that option. I'm also trying out Movie Edit Pro 14 trial version and I think it autoplays when I select "No menus" under the advanced setting.
If anyone has any reccomendations for DVD burning software that's easy to use, and does'nt cost a ton and produces good quality DVD's please let me know!

it's not the burning software that sets the autoplay. it needs to be set by the authoring software. try convertxtodvd, in the options there is a place to check autoplay. it can also be set after authoring by using any software that accesses the ifo files like ifoedit or pgcedit.

Autoplay function is part of Windows set up, if you are talking about PC player.
Just click properties for your drive, than open AutoPlay, in there choose a player software and click Select the action to perfom-Applay. Done -
I have been using Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 to edit my DV files, but I wasn't happy with the results when I burned a DVD. The audio/video were out of sync by about 200 mS, and also the motion looked very jumpy and not smooth.
I decided to try using Adobe Premiere Elements 4 which I had bought about 3 months ago. I just imported the 35 minute movie as digital video into the program and then burned a DVD using the same screen on Abode. The result was very impressive. No DVD menu, the DVD started automatically, the video was great as well as the audio and the video and audio were synced perfectly. Even though I don't like this software for editing, it does do a great job on authoring DVD's.
I'm sure I could set it up to do a into and menus with the DVD, but right now I just want to go simple.
Do any of you hot shots think you could remove the telephone wires from this pic for me? It's way beyond my ability, and I don't even know if it can be done. I've never used photoshop, but I would think it would be really tough doing it through the sign. If you would like to try, I'd sure be happy to email you the picture. Thanks.

Thanks, it looks great! Now you can see how much my printer is off by comparing the 1st pic with the 2nd. I'm sure the printed label will look just fine for this "free" project. Thanks again.

Actually the camera lightened up the first picture so the printed picture is actually darker than it appears.
Sorry to add another post, but I got several error messages when I tried to edit my post above. -

Also, DVDs tend to get hotter than CDs for longer periods, causing the labels to bubble and lift from the disc, which also leads to playback issues and even discs getting caught in drives. Do a search of the forums and you will find many tales from people who thought their precious discs were ruined because they would not play, only to find that once they removed the labels they had put on when they burned them, playback returned to normal.
Labels on CDs : OK, but not ideal. Labels on DVD : asking for trouble in the long run.Read my blog here.

I do have a little different view on labels. I have been using them on CD for 6+ years and DVD about 4+, so far no problem with any of them playing.

I have Memorex CDs that are 5 years old and already have that ugly yellowish tint to them, and they haven't been out in the sun.
