For starters, I'm on a Mac (10.4.11). I'm using the tutorial for converting VIDEO_TS folder to AVI and the outcome is always a solid green screen. The source DVD was produced on a Windows machine (yech!) and plays fine when I pop it in.
Thanks for any help for this newbie.

It must be because you're trying to watch it on (yech!) a mac.....
The only time i've seen that problem was when someone did not have the actual "codec" installed needed for a specific type of video, but then again... i'm just a windows user
The MAC forum might be more up your alley so you don't mix with us "windows" user's 8)
