Hello Forum Members, I'm having a difficult time with 1 video.

Some Info First: I like to take video files as a vob file and convert to mpeg-2 - and make them into DVDs for myself.
I've captured & rendered over 500 videos this way.

Capturing & then using Vegas video to make the m-peg-2 file - using a high (8mb) fixed bitrate. Never had a problem until now...!

Here is the problem: Extracting the vob file - then converting to mpeg-2 using conversion software. Then usin the video in a DVD. Using TMPGEnc DVD Author Pro 2.

All the videos work A.O.K. except for 1 video...! This video will not play back well...! I will see jumping - and blurry parts - especially when there is fast movement.

None of the other vids have that problem...!

I tried various ways of capturing & rendering - but the problem persists..!

p.s. The video will play O.K. when testing it. But, once placed in a DVD & rendered - the video will jump & will get blurry if there is fast action.

Additionally, In the past, I was able to take any vob file & convert to mpeg-2 without any problems..!

    Maybe a codec problem ????

    Maybe a copyguard problem..!?????

    This one has me stumped...!

    Any suggestions.....!

Thanks to all who look & offer suggestions.

It sounds like the field order got swapped in Vegas. I have seen this happen sometimes.

However I don't understand your workflow. There is not reason to convert a VOB to mpeg-2. 99% of the time, that is exactly what it is. Unless you need to edit the files, there is no place for Vegas at all in your workflow.

If you don't need to edit, you can simply import the VOB directly into Tmpgenc DVD Author and create a DVD.
