    ...whenever I try to encode a video file, it goes for about 3 seconds and then I get the error message 'Access is denied. (error code 0x80070005)'.

    What causes this and how can I fix it please?

    This usually occurs when the files you are trying to process are in use by something else. This might even be the windows preview process not releasing it's previous lock. You can usually fix it by rebooting (and pain) or by using a program called Unlocker : http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/

    I reinstalled and it works with some video files, but not the one I wanted to encode.
