    Hi All!

My mobile phone records video in MP4 format. I'd like to convert it to a "friendly" format, like AVI or MPEG. I'm using Mp4Cam2AVI. However, it doesn't compact very well. For example, a 30 seconds video had 7 MB!
How can I compress it better?

    Thanks in advance!
    Best regards,
    Joelson.

Neither of those formats will give you the same quality as the same or smaller size. If your phone records in true H264 format then it is about as efficient as you can get.

Start by opening the file in Media Info or Video Inspector to find out what resolution, format and bitrate the phone records at, then we might be able to suggest an alternative.

It is going to be difficult to convert nicely to most other formats because it is variable framerate. It is already pretty well compressed - low resolution, low bitrate, low framerate. There isn't much to squeeze without doing damage.

You could try using something like SUPER going to WMV and see how oyu go, but expect the quality to drop.

Interesting. I just couldn't find the download link for SUPER in the official site. And the mirror link is broken.
    Best regards,
    Joelson.

A URL do download "oficial" também está funcionando por aqui:

    http://www.erightsoft.org/GetFile.php?SUPERsetup.exe

Vai ver que o servidor deles não gostou do seu endereço IP...
