TMPG Encoder, cant' convert asf & wmv

i can't covert asf and wmv to mpg, why?
after i converted the first 3 to 10 secs, then the program freezed, i tried so many times, still the same, why?
anyone can help??

I think you need to frameserv the video using virtual dub.

Hey man, all you need to do to convert wmv to avi is to pick up a little proggy called GraphEdit. Go to

And read how to do it step by step. But beware that the output file is uncompressed MS-YUV so I hope that you've got alot of HD Space.

I tried using TMPGEnc 12a for wmv to mpg, but the audio cuts in and out.
I demultiplexed/remultiplexed. I used VirtualDud to convert to wav, nothing changes. It always cuts in and out. In fact when I loaded the wmv file into TMPGEnc I checked under audio effects and there was just a straight line, I pressed play and it cut in and out, but when I play the file normally it plays fine... What gives?
