Here is my current home network configuration. My wireless router just died and I need a replacement.
I was using a Linksys WRT54G. Before simply replacing the unit, is there a better network configuration I might put together? At present, I have 4 computers, a print-server, and media player attached to a Netgear 8-port Gigabit switch. I only use the wireless router for Laptops in the house. I'm using Cat-5E cabling between the DSL Modem, Router, and Switch and Cat 6 cabling between the Switch and other components. Any comments and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Your design looks just fine as it is. You've got your highest bandwidth-demanding devices connected to your highest bandwidth device, and on down from there. I would not recommend changing it unless you have a compelling reason to do so -- which does not appear to be the case.
I would recommend carefully researching your replacement wireless router so that you get the most bang for your buck. -
Not certain - I like NetGear stuff, but pretty much got beaten down for being critical of Linksys stuff: Even after watching three WRT54G's dying in a month, and being stupid enough to complain. I've been running NetGear for over a year without many issues - just an occasional reboot.
Have you tried a reboot?;/ l ,[____], Its a Jeep thing,
