I want to edit a VOB file -- i.e., trim 2-3 minutes from a larger file. And I want to end up with a new VOB file. I can do it using DVD Shrink, and get a pretty accurate start and end point for the clip. But is involves some trial and error because I can't hear the audio while editing with DVD Shrink. I can do it with Ulead Video Studio 11, with very accurate start and end points, and I can hear the audio. But: (a) it is not as easy to set the start and end points as it is with DVD shrink; and (b) I don't end up with a VOB file (I end up with a MPEG-2 file). Is there a programme out there somewhere that (a) works with a VOB file; (b) is easy to use to trim a clip from the file; (c) I can hear the audio while editing; and (d) allows me to produce a VOB file of my new clip?

  4. Agree with using VideoRedo.

You might also try simply renamimg the file extension from .mpg to .vob, many applications will accept this.
