    when i join 3 files, each 614megs, the resulting file is only 1.2gigs, when shouldnt' it be 1.8????? however the length of the video is right, just the size is off.. is there a reason for this?

    Are all 3 files encoded exactly the same ? did you tell TMPGEnc the type of joining you are doing ? (VCD, Non-Standard, SVCD...)
