    hello
i have a logo in about 8 seconds which i would like to join to a movie
and when im using avi\mpeg join programs such as VirtualDub, Fast Avi Joiner, Avi Joiner
    it always say's:
The files you want to join must in same format!
Only the video files, which have same resolution, can be joined.

i know what is the meaning
but i dont know how to make it same format, same resolution
    and it is too complicated
and if i use the app - AVS Video Converter it does the job, but the problem is that it is too slow and takes too long.

does any1 can recommend me an app which will join couple of video files for example : the first will be wmv and the second avi and the third mpeg.

ofcourse the action will be conversation and not joining but i want it to be joined all in 1 together
    and to be fast
any recommendation about an app + explanation how 2 do that?
    10x always

  2. Resolution refers to dimensions (e.g. 720x480, or 1920x1080 etc...). They have to be the same specifications i.e. framerate, dimensions, audio sample rate, channels etc...

It takes a long time, because you can only append clips that have the same specifications, otherwise you have to re-encode (which can take a long time)

I don't think any application will do this automatic resizing to match each clip up for you. You have to manually do each one. Moreover, you will usually need different programs for different file types. The final destination format is usually what dictates what format you should convert the clips to. (eg. if it was for DVD, or ipod, or media player etc...., then you would choose the format that is compatible with the end goal)

If it's too complicated for you , you can either give up or put some time into learning

and frame rates - 25 frames
how should i define so bouth will be same sizes, resulosion so i can join it together quickly?

  4. provide more information on the other clips including audio (use media info), and decide what final format you want it to be.

I'm guessing the large mpeg segment is PAL DVD-Video, and you will have problems because 4/3 aspect ratio and the others are wmv and avi are usually 1:1 pixels.

If the 1st wmv and 2nd avi clip are shorter than the large mpeg segment, it would be faster to convert those and append to the mpeg

    both are avi
what i just did is i cutted part from the movie and added subtitles
and i wanted it to be only at the 8 first seconds so i had to cut the 8 seconds and than join it with the rest of the movie
and when i did it it yelled:
The files you want to join must in same format!
Only the video files, which have same resolution, can be joined.

so what i should do so they both will be same format? resize?
