Can somebody suggest a easy to use video editing program for a real begginner? I've looked at several different programs like Premiere 6 and movieXone and you might think I'm stupid but I've found them way to complicated. I've also tried Muvee Auto Producer & its great, it does all the work for you and the finished results are fantastic but I'm ready now to have a bit more input to the editing and would also like to keep the original audio on my home video's.
I'm capturing the video from an anolouge source using Virtualdub & after editing the AVI I wil convert it to vcd format using tmpge.
Can somebody help me?

I've got Premiere and I can sympathize with you. Is is a complicated application, but very powerful. Even though I own Permiere, I find myself using Sonic Foundry's Video Factory much more, especially for simple tasks. To me, this is a very simple to use app. They may have a demo on their site, but I don't know for sure. I've never used Muvee so I cannot offer a comparison.
