Wow! Thanks for the link.
Not sure about the There's Something About Mary hair style. I hope that isn't part of the package!
The Manfrotto Modosteady looks interesting, too, but the video doesn't actually have any real footage recording with it - only shots of people using it. -
Indeed. I saw that Manfrotto Modosteady video as well. They need a new director
The "best" of the stabilizers seems to be the Steadicam Merlin (lots of vids on Youtube), but the $800 pricetag is pretty steep (sometimes more expensive than the camera it is stabilizing). -
i really like to look of the HAGUE Mini Motion-Cam Stabilizer.
seems to do the job very well, and there's even a video on how it works, which is great advertising, unlike the MANFROTTO MODOSTEADY, which tends to be a very reluctant item. -
Seems my HDR-HC1 is too big for it
I might have to investigate Johnny Chung Lee's $14 Steadycam. Or, from what I have read, strap some lead weights (e.g., scuba) to the bottom of a tripod and use that! -
i think my 5 hour battery weighs too much without the cam

You could always hand the cam to a midget then just carry him around... 8)
