i'm recording some tv shows on my LEADTEK WINFAST PVR2000 tv card, and i would like to cut the commercials and some other stuff from it. however, it seems that it's not so easy. i've tried numerous programs which cut video "on the air" (without full processing), i've also tried with virtualdub, but it's always the same - i cannot cut precisely. it seems like i can cut only on certain, predefined places (it's hard to explain but i'll try; for example, i want to cut the beginning of my video, let's say first 12 seconds. but instead, it will cut 15 seconds. if i try to cut 14, it'll cut on the 15 again. i hope you understand now).
here are some additional infos:
- my card is, like i said Leadtek Winfast PVR2000
- capturing software is winfast PVR2
- capturing format is hardware MPEG-2
- codecs installed on my system: Combined Community Codec Pack & Divx
does anyone have any suggestion? is there any way to cut my videos precisely, no matter how long would it try (adobe premiere maybe?)?

Womble Mpeg Wizard or VideoRedo will easily do the job. I also have a Winfast digital card (DTV2000 H), and usually use Womble for editing. Virtualdub can't direct stream copy mpeg-2, and can only direct stream copy I frame edits.
Either Womble or Videoredo will do frame accurate edits, and write a 45 minute TV show back to disc in around 3 minutes.Read my blog here.
