  1. I got some DVD's mailed to me from the UK and they said they are "Region 0" but they won't play on ANY of my dvd players. They will play on my computer. I've tried simply copying the disc and it didn't work, I've tried copying it to my hard drive and then burning them to DVD just like a normal one where my region is on 1. I've tried using decypter even though it is not encrypted but I'm getting an error around 85% that it reached it's memory capacity but it's only 3gb? I've tried using Nero and I've tried using Sonic Record Now...I've looked at the "Reauthor" on the DVD Decrypter but don't understand what/how it works. I can't remember if I used DVD Shrink and just not shrink it as Nero is my default on that.

I've tried a convertor which I "THINK" may have worked but it was a trial version and you can only do 1 chapter at a time and there is like 200 total chapters. Any freeware convertors and is this even what I need?

Any other thoughts? I'd rather just get these to work as the cost of a few discs is better than shipping back to the UK.

It's a PAL problem. The easiest thing to do seeing as you have Nero would be to use NeroVison Express (I still use ver. 6) and 'Import' the PAL disc. It will take a while then let it re-encode to NTSC. See if the quality suits you. No menus or subs though.

Otherwise there are probably a few hundred posts and some guides here you can search for on converting PAL to NTSC.
