audio book to cd/dvd help

I have an audio book on my hard drive and would like to have it on a disk. The file is wav format and will take 16 cd's. Can I put this on dvd or convert it to another format so I do not have to have it on so many of them?

I'd recommend mp3. Many audiobooks come as mp3 files these days. Mp3 files are supported on all portable players. A good, easy-to-use encoder is lamedropXPd, available here:

Just start it up and drag your WAV file onto it. Right-click on it to change settings. It will cut your file size by about 90% if you use a 128kbps bit rate, but for voice-only recordings you could probably go lower and save even more. Let your ears be the judge.

And yes, you could put the WAVs on DVD but you'd probably need three of them if you don't convert.
