After browsing through the forum and several sites I am still a bit confused (new)
Especially about the various configurations etc
My aim is to have SHORT clips (between 30 sec and 1 minute) of fast actions (running/jumping dogs) for analizing
As such I would love the best possible detail and time kept (improved)
The resulting clips would go back to tape and also to SVCD.
The source of these clips come from various sources : vhs tape, videocamera or digital camera.
The sources can be either NTSC or PAL ! and need to be able to be translated to the oposite format too !
in doing so the total time of the clip needs to be the exact time !!! very important !
so that is my first question : how ?
changing framerates in VD creates so far nice looking slowmotions :-)
I am using Dazzle DV bridge for capturing (Sony laptop , am on the move al the time thats is why th NTSC-PAL question)
so far I have delaced the clips in VD (discarding 1 line )
resized it to 480x480 ( so far been working on NTSC). read somewere that qulity might improve if resized to 720x480 ?
Compressed using huffyuv ; setting method:predict median RGB <-convert to YUY2
TMPGenc 2.51 : what is the best bitrate ?? ( do not understand that part )
and what about other possible settings to watch out for ? (besides NTSC svcd template )
I am using Ulead DVD moviefactory for burnig the cd's
ANy tips, help, experiences would be gratefully appriciated
thanks in advance
