Everything looks great in Studio 11 Ultimate. I has not locked up once and seems stable but I have having another issue that is probably only related to me. I am running vista 64 bit and am wondering if anyone else has had any issues with Pinnacle S11? The problem is in the audio. The first scenario is like this. The music that is included with the program sounds fine when I listen to it before putting it in the storyboard. Once I put the music in the storyboard it gets all crazy sounding and muffled and is really hard to explain what it sounds like. My music that I can add does not sound good ever when I listen to it through the program. Has anyone experienced this issue?

heard they finally fixed this editor...
are you using wav's? -
sometimes, depending on the editor, audio like .mp3's don't work so well
it's recommended to convert these audio files to uncompressed .wav format
check audacity -
Ok, I understand that. I have never had any problem with that before. The thing is that the music that is already installed from their program sounds great until I add it to the storyboard. Once it is in the storyboard is when the problems start happening.

can you make a file to hear what happens?
sometimes, the editor introduces sounds that are not present in the final file...and sometimes, they are -
I am sure I can. I have tried the example video that they send with the software and when it is played with the program it is totally unable to understand and listen to. When I play the video on another player it works fine. I have not heard back from Pinnacle yet as to the reason this is happening. I have looked but can't find anything that looks abnormal.

Is your sound card ASIO? Check your time line settings and see if the audio file is set for Surround or stereo. If it is set for Surround sound, is it set for dialog mode?

I have the HT Omega Claro sound card. Nice card for sure. I am just learning Studio 11 so could you help me a little here? What would the settings have to do with it? I have it installed on my xp side and it works fine. It just does not work on the vista 64 bit side.

Studio and Liquid require sound cards that are ASIO and have ASIO drivers. Without this you could get some wierd results. I would probably check your sound card mfg to see if it is an ASIO approved card and see if there is an updated driver. Liquid is still using the smartsound which uses real instraments as where Studios new version uses midi which is even more dependent on the sound card since it actually samples it. Lastly, if you are using the Studio panning tool you need to make sure it is set right. If it is in dialogue mode then it will convert the stereo track in to a mono center audio and can produce some wierd sounds.

How do I set it in studio? Why would it work in xp and not in vista 64? What are you running it in?

I am running windows xp pro sp2. Liquid does not have any official support for vista so I am still using xp for both Studio and Liquid.
