Hi all did a search but couldn't find much on this specific problem.
Machine: CPU duo core E6600, 3GB ram, 320GB hd etc. Vista home premium.
Tuner: Twinham magicbox pro
Basically using the latest vista software from twinham and their 'digitalTV' programme, my TV video playback is very choppy. By that i mean the TV pauses every few seconds for a second. At first i suspected either vista or my aerial was ill placed, but the split feed runs to the flatscreen TV with no reception problems. In an old house the programme ran fine on my laptop with XP, 1GB ram and a 3.06GHz processer.
Does the stuttering nature indicate too poor reception for the USB tuner, or other problems ie vista or driver problems? CPU runs at 6%.
Any pointers appreciated.

Just a thought, but I had similar problems using the old ATI software and their AIW card. The problem was that by default, the software was trying to cache live TV for TIVO like functionality. Which means the PC was trying to display and capture the video stream in real time to the HDD. Disabling the "cache" feature, solved the problem. Google is your Friend
