I have a Metz TV with Euro RGB Scart and composite inputs only. I have PC composite to TV working fine.
What can I do to get a better quality (than my present composite) picture from my PC to the TV (4m away).
I need to buy a new video card but I want to make sure I am not wasting money.
In other words what options have I got for connecting PC to RGB Scart.

Using composite/S-video/SCART, you should be able to get a resolution of 800x600 (depends on the TV). The outputs you use, will depend on the video card (should be able to get one with S-video output) and the type of converter that you get for your SCART input. You should be able to get a composite/S-video + audio to SCART converter.
For any higher resolutions, you will need a vga input on the TV or DVI/HDMI.Google is your Friend -
Your best bet would be S-Video, if your TV supports it. It will give a cleaner picture than Composite.
My TV has 2 SCART sockets, AV1 supports Composite or RGB, and AV2 supports Composite or S-Video.
S-Video to SCART cables are readily available, well, at least here in Europe, but obviously you need a Graphics card with an S-Video out port. We'll be right back after these messages from Binford!
