    I am having trouble finding freeware for these conversion, I already have great programs for doing all this stuff (mac os x) but a few of my friends who use windows were asking for help on this.
    I am having trouble finding freeware to do this.
    any suggestions?

    What format (Codec) of MP4? That's just the container name. It doesn't tell much of anything about the format.

    ah sorry, MPEG-4 Part 2 (not going to lie, had to look it up on wikipedia)
