  1. Im following this guide
    http://hdclips.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=2411

Now ive created my avs script as in the guide with my Hd-dvd vc1 file. My problem is the movie is about 2 hours and 20 minutes. evodemux gave me the counted frame number of 201539. however when i put the script in vir dub the slider times sees it as 2h20min but the whole film isnt there when i change the script to say 601539 i see more of the film but the estimated time is up to like 6 hours. what am i doing wrong? Shouldnt the frames be 23.976 for hd-dvd?

Your AviSynth is probably out of date as the Framecount argument didn't come in until ver. 2.57. Upgrade.

I don't work with HD-DVD, but the source framerate probably isn't 23.976fps. If it's a movie, you can probably get it down to 23.976fps by an IVTC or decimation or something. My guess is that it's 29.97fps, but someone more knowledgeable than I can provide more help.

  4. Thanks soo much that was it. I thought it was 2.57 but it wasnt. Ive been read doom9 forums and most people say it 23.976. Im starting to get stuff little by little but some things are still confusing. Now i have to figure out the film cropping

If recorded from TV in USA it will be 29.97 fps for 1080i or 59.94 fps for 720p. Both can be converted to 23.976p fps if the source is film but not for live source.
