  1. Hi guys...I just wanted to know if it makes a difference weather I take my avi file put it on virtual dub save the wav file and use it as my audio input when doing TMPGENC.....or if I skip the virtualdub part and just use the same avi for the video and audio input and tell TMPGENC to convert em both...wat's ur opinion..wat do u do?????

  2. I just take the avi and pass it thru i usually get good results that way so i don't see the point of splitting it... although i think i've read somewhere that to get the perfect conversion you should split... (i can't say i understand why tho, it just adding one more thing that can go wrong)

  4. i USED to plug my avis right into tmgpenc.. but about 70% of the time it either didnt take the audio or I ended up with an out of sync result. When i frame serve ( virtualdub to tmpgenc) i end up with perfect results 100% of the time.. so now i dont play around.. i just frame serve.
