hi,
i downloaded this music video (avi) and it was playing with "jerks (missing frames)" and the audio was also out of sync. i lked into its properties and it said as follows:
Audio codec: AC3 filter
Video codec: dvix decorder filter
using 4U MP4 converter i converted it for my ipod and it worked totally fine, audio was in sync and frames were nornal.
then using the same converter i converted it to an avi.divx format keeping the framerate and frame size (resolution) "same as the original file"
and then properties of the output file read as follows:
Audio codec: MPEG Layer 3 decoder
video codec: ffdshow layer4-video decoder
after doing the above step the output file played normally with perfect audio sync and frames...
so my question is that why didnt the original file play smoothly to begin with and what does these codecs and decorders have indifferent about them???
my problem is solved and the converted file is playing smoothly but why didnt the original to begin with??
thanks for answering guyz![]()
