Can someone please tell me why the size of my dvd files (if I use CCESP) are only 1.3GB? It works right if I use HCenc but for some reason the file size is always way too small if I use CCESP? Thank you.

Simple. It's likely the bitrate settings are different for the two encoder programs. Bitrate determines video size. There are bitrate calculators that will show you the proper bitrate for the desired final size. Some from our 'Tools' page:
https://www.videohelp.com/tools/sections/bitrate-calculators
And you might want to check the audio formats also. AC3 is probably the most universal. WAV or PCM audio files will be much larger and take up space that could be better used for higher video bitrate. If one encoder used a PCM format and the other a AC3, they will be different sizes, though the video may be the same size.
You can drop your encoded files into Gspot 2.70 and see what their bitrates are.
And welcome to our forums. -
I like AVStoDVD and use it all the time with HCenc. It does not appear to be the best choice if you want to use CCE. At MrC's forums there have been many posts trying to troubleshoot CCE problems.
From the forums:
However in the next release I'm planning to stop CCE SP support (is anyone still using it in AVStoDVD?), to include HCenc in the installer package and to use HCenc as unique "Very High Quality" encoder. What do you think? -

3. Can you email me or post here the 2 log files examples (one for CCE SP and one for HCenc, same input file)?
Bye
