Need region free hack for DVD/VCR player: LG V271N

Hi! I'm new to the forum - and in need of help!
Have just bought the LG V271N (that was the name on the package) wich is a combo player.
I've tried the hack that's listed on the site for the LG V271 (with the '0000') but it didn't work.
Do you guys have other hacks that might work for this?
I have a region 2, but want it to play my region 1 dvd's as well.

Any known region free codes will be in the DVD Hacks section. There is often differences between models, so you would need a code specific to your model.

I've tried the only hack in the DVD Hacks section, for LG V271 - but it didn't work, unless I somehow got it wrong
The 'DVD region code selector' didn't show on the screen at all.

Region code hack posted by Techbay, May 28 2007:
Turn on the unit and open the tray. Press 0000 on the remote to access the DVD region code selector.

Change the EEPRom code to 0 to remove the region lock.

Maybe I shall try every code existing for LG - players? would that work?
