Here's my scenario: I have an unmodded XBOX 360 (Premium version). I would like to play DVD movies on it. It plays storebought DVDs without a problem. It plays DVD-Rs of backed movies that I have downloaded via bittorrent. I also use the Winavi program to create DVDs from avi files. This is where my problem begins. The XBOX 360 will not play these discs for some reason. My normal DVD player will, though. Why is this? I have tried burning the DVD-R data disc as normal with the video_ts and audio_ts folders, and also creating a disc image with those folders, and neither works in the XBOX. Any ideas? Thanks so much in advance!

Maybe a PAL/NTSC issue? Or try convert and burn with another tool like DVD Flick or ConvertXtoDVD.

Sorry for excluding that info - 16x Memorex DVD-Rs is what's being used. Like I said though, one burned disc that was already in .img format worked fine, but the ones I converted did not. Both were on the same Memorex brand discs. I have tired burning using Nero and DVD Decrypter. Burns of readymade DVDs that would be considered "backups" using Nero and DVD Decrypter have worked just fine in the XBOX - it's not until I convert avi files into DVDs that I have the problem. Using WINAVI as the conversion program to go from avi to DVD.
