  1. Can any body help i have been using the Sony DVD Recorder now for aprox 3 Years and its appears to be fine and i ma using Datasafe DVD RW2X But seem to get what i can only describe as Motion trail for example when a head moves it appears that there is a trail created by the move until the picture catches up which leaves a blur.

Does any body know how i can get rid of this.

    Many Thanks

Have you been drinking? no well, Sony's noise reduction (NR) options cause motion blurring especially at the higher settings, I don't know if you've played with the settings much. Its in the manual, but I think its Tools>picture record settings>NR and set it to 0. If yours is set at the max. +3 then that will be the problem. It's not good NR so best left off.
If thats not the problem then - are you using HQ/SP setting anything above may cause bluring esp. at the longest rec. setting. If not sounds like a rec. error try different disks at HQ to rule it out.
