I'm looking for a definitive description of the audio codec that this refers to,
specifically in using Virtual Dub...I'm thinking it may be a wma coded but
what version and where can one find it...or is there some workaround?
Vdub will not proceed if this decompressor cannot be found...
Any help is appreciated...l

0x0161 is WMA v2
0x0162 is WMA 9 pro (used for 5.1 multichannel)
You can use Divx WMA Audio to use directly in vdub for the 1st with the vdub wmv plugin, you cannot for the 2nd (nothing works)
The only way for decoding wma pro in vdub is to use in vdub is avisynth + DirectShowSource with WMAudio Decoder DMO installed from WMP11 or the SDK -
Nope, use FFdshow to decode the stream to wav, then lame to encode it back to normal mp3 format and then include the audio in vdob as "Audio from other file..."
Works for me. Unless the audio is broken, that it is..."I believe that all the people who stand to profit by a war and who help provoke it should be shot on the first day it starts..." - Hemingway :) my config -
ppl have problems. forum threads fix ppls problems. wtf does the date make any difference? its like somekind of effin disease going on everywhere...
