    This never use to happen to me before. The error occurs before i am even able to select the file i want to edit or convert.

    In order for people to help you, you might need to give just a little more info.

    Is there an error message displayed ?

    If so, what does it say ?

    Explain in detail exactly what you do / where you click before the error comes up ?
    If in doubt, Google it.
