    i used dvd shrink to back up a video on my hard drive. i compressed it then i used VOB2MPG to change the format. im looking for a program that could shrink that mpg file from 2.5gb to about 800mb can any one help please

    Rejig can transcode it down, but it will look horrible. You cannot compress a 2.5GB mpg file into an 800MB mpeg file without taking a major quality hit.

    If the results do not have to be mpeg, then you could use AutoGK to convert it into a Divx or Xvid compressed avi file.
