I'm in the market for a new speaker set and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a pair? I only want 2 speakers...no subwoofer.

To use for what? For your PC, your entertainment center, your stereo, your car, your...?

The solution depends on what you are planning to do with them, what your budget is and what you expect from them.

+ on top of all that as with sight, hearing seems unfeasibley subjective when it comes to assoc PC parts....but anyway you wanted a recomendation. I assume for a PC considering the forum in which you posted the qu.

If you were considering budget speakers in my somewhat extensive experience in this area see if you can experience some Dell A225's Crisp, clear believable reproduction, definately not "tiny" the bass doesn't dissapear+ Compact - cheapest i saw (UK) was Ebay £10 (new).

Whilst being USB powered it saves on a plug but as a result if you like your volume to blow your head off so you can't hear anybody communicate with you, including to yourself these won't be loud enough on max output.

I'm using a logitech 5.1 speaker set for my pc now and have been for awhile. I can only imagine that their 2.0 speakers would be good also.

    Sorry,

These speakers would be for my PC.
I currently have a dell clip-on speaker on my FP LCD monitor.

I'm not concerned with the price. I checked out places like bestbuy and circuitcity and there is quite a selection so I was just wondering which were of good quality?

I am thinking of buying new PC speakers myself, and I am currently leaning towards these ones. I have to find a place where I can listen to them before buying them, I don't like buying without knowing if the product is likely to fulfill my expectations or not.

Here are a few of my favorites (on my various PCs and laptops):

    Creative GigaWorks T20

    Bose Companion 2 Series II

    Creative I-Trigue 2200

I'm not a big fan of subwoofers or 5-7.1 on my notebook or PC. My television, however, is a full-on theater.
