    i have used dvd shrink 3.2 for some time now. when i burn a movie on to my hard drive it always burns the file into pieces. is there a way to change that and also what format dvd shrink burns it into?

    I'm not sure what you mean by 'pieces'. It would normally make a new VIDEO_TS folder which contains VOBs, IFOs and BUPs. That's the DVD format. See 'WHAT IS' DVD to the upper left on this page for more info about the DVD format and specification.

    If you want a single, very large MPEG file instead, you could use a program like VOB2MPG and extract the MPEG from the folder.

    You can save the output from DVD Shrink as a single image file but you will not then be able to access it with a PC program. You can also uncheck the option to split vob files into 1GB chunks but it's not recommended.
