When I convert an .avi file (Movie approx 700MB) to .WMV to use via my XBOX 360 MCE the picture is too large for my TV. This cuts the heads and feet off and you can't see much of the credits.
I've been using WinAVI Video Converter 7.6. My settings are;
Keep The Original Frame Rate.
Keep the Original Size
Broadband (NTSC, 1400 kbps), I've tried WMV8 and WMV9 no better.
Audio Sample Rate 48000
4x3 on 4x3 films and 16:9 on 16:9 films
If I view the converted Video on my PC it's ok but if I watch on MCE via my XBOX 360 it's too large.
I've recently also downloaded WMencoder64 and tried on a few .avi files and it seems to have a codec problem, I'll try more later.

Just a thought but you might want to check your Xbox setting to see if it is outputting video in 4:3 or in 16:9. This cause probelms sometimes, say if you are watching a widescreen movie on a widescreen tv but the Xbox is outputting video in 4:3 format. This happens alot on factory set DVD players. The TV is set to play 16:9 but DVD player is set to 4:3 so everything gets stetched and looks screwy. Anyways just an idea. Hope this helps.
