Hi all,
I have a problem with my videos that I play... they are all to birght. When I stream an internet video with Flash, it's no problem. When I download an .avi or a .mov and play it with Windows Media Player or QuickTime, it's brightness is incorrectly bright. I don't know what caused it, I have the latest drivers for my GeForce 8800GTS 320 MB, but they are the beta drivers, so maybe that caused it?? I want to keep them because my games do it so much better thanks to it, but I don't know if that's the cause...
So, does anyone know the cause and solution to this problem? Should I post a screenshot or do you understand what I mean?
Thanks in advance.
p.s. I also have another newbie question, I have the DVD for Prison Break season 1 and I want to convert it to PSP. I will use the tutorial provided on this site, so that should be no problem, but the problem is the subtitles: I want the subtitles to be burned in the episode. So for example, the audio is English and the subtitles are Dutch (this is the case here) and since the PSP doesn't support seperate subtitle files, I have to burn it inside the movie (mp4). How do I do that? The DVD contains .vob, .ifo and .bup files and I have no idea how to burn it into the finished .mp4.
Thanks for the help, this site is full of video guru's so I hope I can get help here

To me your problem seems to be incorrect overlay settings for your Nvidia card. Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

You can make permanent subs with VirtualDub or AutoGK: https://forum.videohelp.com/topic272736.html or https://forum.videohelp.com/topic316471.html AutoGK might be the easiest way to convert DVDs to Xvid or Divx, if that's the format you need. VD will also work with most other MPEG-4 formats.

CHeck your video/3d/overlay brightness setting under control panel->display->settings->advanced.
