i really dont know what he did but some how i found myself with the old Internet Explorer 6.

so i went to Microsoft site to download IE7 again and for some reason i'm havin' a problem going through the validation stage.

  2. Hi Baldrick!
    Thank you very much man!
    it helped!

and for some of those who experiencing the problem above, here's the solution:

    1) Delete the file LegitCheckControl.DLL from the c:\windows\system32 folder (this removes the WGA Validation ActiveX control, in case it is corrupt or improperly installed)

    2) Download and install the WGA Validation ActiveX control at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=69479 (this will re-install the WGA Validation ActiveX control which is required to validate)

    3) Go to http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/diag/ and click the "Start Diagnostic" button, if there are any problems listed, click the "Resolve Now" button. The site will either resolve the problem itself or provide steps for you to follow. Once you complete the Diagnostic without error, click the "Validate Windows" button.

    4) Retry the Download site
    i found it here:
