My friend and I used his Philips 3400 for the first time to record video on to a DVD-R disk.
After finalizing, we found out the the resulting DVD won't play on his AIWA DVD player.![]()
But Will play on my APEX player![]()
What we want to know is this.
Is there a list that has DVD players thar will (or will not) play DVD made on a Philips 3400 recordia

Try different dvd-r media, www.nomorecoasters.com and www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia

It could also be that the AIWA works better with DVD+R. This is more likely to be true the older the DVD player is.
There is no such list as what you are looking for. Certainly this is a media issue, but whether the AIWA only works with DVD+R or the problem is that you used crap DVD-R media is something you'll have to determine by testing.
